Ohana Prayer 415 – 2 Thessalonians 2

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and encouragement and the good [well-founded] hope [of salvation] by His grace, comfort and encourage and strengthen your hearts [keeping them steadfast and on course] in every good work and word. II Thes 2:16,17

Praise to the omnipotent, omnipresent Adonai! Our heavenly Father, we praise You! Your loving kindness is ceaseless. Your grace is boundless! You gave us eternal life and hope to see You face to face eventually. In the dawn hours, awaken and revived, let us raise our hands to praise You! Today, let us walk with You with clean hands and pure heart, loyal and honest, free from hypocrisy and deceit, work hard, and receive Your blessing to make us righteous and glorify Your holy name. Pray for our heavenly Father to give us understanding! The understand of the mystery of Your love, able to digest your love and do not just have complete faith in life that can even move mountains. But do not act with love or practice it in the community. Knowing that all accomplishments and works will become an unhelpful illusion, let us take Your love as the starting point today, connect every process with Your love, and end with Your love and live a victorious day.

From the throne of grace, Lord Jesus, You came to earth to have lived amongst us! Full of grace and mercy that leads us to walk in the light! Even yet, we are in the hope of Your returning to redeem and complete our salvation, taking us up into the clouds to meet up with You, hence, we will be with You forever! Yet, forgive us of not being alert and living out this hope! We live in the pretense of a holy life but really does not take up the cross and bear it. Living in a licentious world of lust and greed and be contaminated, following the flow of the society and failed to resist and stand firm on the Solid Rock! Wallowing in the mud of gossip, bitterness and foul language, greed, ungrateful, immorality, being stumbling rock, and carry out vengeance instead of waiting for the Lord’s recompense! Forgive us! Please put us out and deliver us, Lord Jesus. Though our sins before You are as scarlet, Your blood will wash them white as snow. So that we can once again be counted as the children of Elohim and our land be healed!

O Holy Spirit, guide us to avoid the entrapment of the unrighteous, the snarl of the unholy, and the worldly influence of our thoughts! Stop Your children to battle against each other, to compare church status and lift selves higher than others becoming like Pharisees! Stop us, stop us! Open our eyes and ears, to see the many souls that are still flowing in the ocean of sin, hear their voice crying out for help amid the stormy sea, waiting for us to stretch out our hands to pluck them into the ship of salvation. Holy Spirit, we now feeling the force of the wave of the pandemic, the heart ranching news of disasters of natural cause and by human errors, peoples’ relationships dry and superficial liken the dessert. Revive us, Your children, from the stoic status! Let us share our love, pain, success and failure, emotions, and lives with others as You have guided us through, that we can walk in the staff of truth in our hands, that we have Jesus Christ as our foundation, that we do not drift off into the ocean of pain but walk on the wave, and knowing that the beacon of Christ is the guiding lighthouse that will show us the safe harbor to dock. Give us more experiences of walking and co-laboring with You so others can taste the honey of Your Word, walk through the narrow door but will lead to eternal life, living on earth as in heaven.

Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

II Thessalonians 2

3-4 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

7-17 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the avenues that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
