Ohana Prayer 414 – 2 Thessalonians 1
We ought always and indeed to be morally obligated [as those in debt] to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is fitting, because your faith is growing ever greater, and the [unselfish] love of each one of you toward one another is continually increasing. II Thes 1:3
Adonai, our heavenly Father, praise and laud unto Your name! You are the fountain of mercy and peace. We are thankful for able to call You Abba, thus, confirm of our relationship with You. Gave us the spirit and freedom. For ever and ever, for eternity, You are Elohim! From dirt we were made into Your image! Living on the breath that was loaned to us. We are called to worship You! Lifting our hands! Lifting our hearts! Lifting our voices! Let us count our days that’s on loan, treasure of our royalty status as children of God, carry out the mission of mercy and reconciliation, daily courting of Your presence, with fortification of our hearts via Your Words. Jehovah will judge righteously and lovingly. Peace from You can be felt amid trials and tribulation. Protection given to us, even amid the pandemic and natural or man-made disasters. You grief with us in the ashes as well as walking with us through the valley, even under the shadow of death. Lift us unto Your bosom, LORD! For there is peace and comfort!
All the authorities were given unto You, Lord Jesus You have declared! Even when we think that all is impossible and lost, You open doors and shines the light to guide. You lift us up when we sink into the ocean of disbelief, walk on the dry ground between the roaring waves that are from the evil one, set us in the garden to have deep fellowship, and give understanding when we are confused. Your love attenuates our sorrow when we lost loved ones with stentorian songs of comfort from heaven. Others observed, of Your work, give encomium! Teach us, Lord Jesus to preserve! Bearing the cross, not just of the Del La Rosa, but to the outer rim of the earth! Thank you for establishing the living body of Christ called church that we, as Your followers can show the world of true love from You and by You! Fill us with patience and faith as we travel on this path of earth so that we can endure the temporal pain and sufferings. When we have gone astray, remind us that Your anger is but for a moment, but Your favor is for a lifetime or in Your favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Your grace is sufficient to last us a lifetime and You being nailed to the cross shielded us from the wrath of God!
Holy Spirit, as the day of Pentecost, let Your fire rekindle the churched united! Reignite of our first love to bear witnesses of our salvation and to share them with others, marvelous experience! Continue to water us with the Word that we may grow and bear fruits! To continue to press onto higher spiritual grounds! Our works is worthy of the calling and sacrifice of Christ! Let us place ourselves in Your hands to hold steadfastly of our position in life, able to weather the trials and the fiery darts hurls at us of negative thoughts about ourselves as well as revengeful thoughts of repaying those who wronged us! Let us take all these thoughts to the Lord for the LORD will recompense! Walk with us as we seek to walk with You, day by day.
Pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 1
3-12 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well! This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you. With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
