Ohana Prayer 410 – 1 Thessalonians 2

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel [that tells the good news of salvation through faith in Christ], so we speak, not as [if we were trying] to please people [to gain power and popularity], but to please God who examines our hearts [expecting our best]. I Thes 2:4 (AMP)

Our Father in heaven, praise Your holy name! For we were created in Your image and You have given us breath, ability to reason, and a deep need to have fellowship with You. Our brain, by Your ordination, has unlimited capacity for learning so we can be amazed by all the things created by You. A heart so that we can have the capacity to love others as well as receiving Your agape. An ability to manage of Your creations that we can enjoy. All things You created was for our enjoyment and being a steward. Thank you for You unceasing love! Even when Adam and Eve sinned and were casted out, broke Your heart, You still use Your love to encumber us and guard us with the Holy Spirit. Words cannot express our awe when our Lord Jesus came to earth to become the redemptive sheep that provided salvation, reconciliation, and shattered the dominant of death. Even so, the love of Elohim is from everlasting to everlasting, day by day!

We come to You with gratitude that no words can express, dear Yashua! You had opened the door to eternal life and the heavenly Father’s throne of grace! So that we can have our prayers heard and answered with grace abounding. Open our ears to hear of Your calling, to lift the banner of Christ into the battle and gain victory, to learn to be still and experience Your peace that is beyond all understanding, to comfort others with empathy, to stand firm against the tide of false teachings, to be of light and salt to the world, to stamp out quarrels with minding our tongue, and be equipped with the truth so our lives can reflect of our Adonai. Lead us on, dear Lord! We submit to Your leading and now yield our will unto You to allow Your holy light shine through us.

O Holy Spirit, speak to us with Your still small voice! Awake us! Set us on the spiritual fire! Rekindle our first love to Christ! Reset our minds tuned to our heavenly Father’s voice! Facing of the pandemic, nature and manmade disasters, challenging of our faith, we lost our ways. Please redirect our path! Even when we are led to the raging waters and the waves seems to overwhelm us, we have the assurance of smooth sailing when our Lord Jesus is in the bow! For Jehovah Jireh has prepared the course for us! Help us to exercise our faith and trust to hold onto the Word and its promises. For only then we can have real peace and real rest in the LORD.

Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 2

1-4 You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not without results. We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you about his gospel in the face of strong opposition. For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.

8-13 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deal with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

19-20 For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? 20 Indeed, you are our glory and joy.
