Ohana Prayer 408 – Colossians 4

1  Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

2  Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

3  And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

4  Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

5  Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.

6  Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

12  Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.

13  I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis.

15  Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.

17  Tell Archippus: “See to it that you complete the ministry you have received in the Lord.”

18  I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.

Praise the Lord, our Father in Heaven, who is gracious and righteous. What an amazing blessing we have that we get to experience time in the eternal God’s presence and sit and meditate on Your love upon waking. It is our blessing to praise You. Let every living thing praise Your Holy Name.

Praise the omnipresent Father God. Thank you that Your loving, upholding hand is upon us as we walk daily in Your will. Give us wisdom to recognize and submit to Your hand. Let us be an instrument to achieve the tasks you have assigned to us, keeping busy in Your work for we know everything we do for You is worthwhile. We will gladly serve those around us and share the joy of knowing You to every one we meet. Through Your spirit we pray that our speech will always be gracious, or seasoned with salt, that we may honor You in our lives and be a blessing to many.

We praise and give thanks to Lord Jesus. You came and revealed the love of the Heavenly Father. You race against time to save those lost in sins, always have ways to comfort those who are suffering, heal the sick with Your compassionate hand, and free one by one those who are slaves to sin. Thank you for being our advocate with the Father to plead on our behalf so we can live with confident assurance that Your prayers for us are constant, and they are perfect.

Lord Jesus, forgive us for failing to fully and faithfully make our life a testimony to God. We did not think about the church and its members are part of our family and show our love for them, especially for the vulnerable in our midst. Let us now do good to everyone, particularly to those who are of the household of faith so that there will be credits in our love bank account. Forgive us that we have not prayed fervently during the coronavirus pandemic for all those need hope and healing, and for victims of natural and man-made disasters. Forgive us for neglecting to pray for open doors for friends and families who are stuck behind closed door struggling with tough times.

Holy Spirit, please be our tutor to educate us until we can stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God. Encourage us to pay attention to our words, deeds, love for others, and purity so that we may live the example of disciples. Help us to keep our minds on things above, focus on preaching the gospel, and take heed to the ministry which we have received in the Lord, that we may fulfill it.

Holy Spirit, may You arouse the spirit of revival for the churches. Guide them to work in unity to rebuild after the pandemic, and to repair the walls of the gospel. Ignite our revival prayer altars that we may move forward with confidence, bring hope to the city, love to the community, and healing to the broken. Let prayers, worships, praises, fellowship, joy be part of the atmosphere of the church. With thanksgiving, we submit ourselves to be servants of God and by Your power, we will zealously share the good news of the Bible and lead people to Christ. Pray that we will be good witnesses in everything we do.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
