Ohana Prayer 284 – Luke 12
1 Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.
7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
8 “I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God.
10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.
23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?
34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
42 The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?
43 It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns.
48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
Praise the almighty, omniscient and omnipresent Lord Jehovah, our Father God in heaven. You love justice and the virtuous will see your face. You sit on your heavenly throne, watch everyone closely, examining every person on earth. You care about us and you keep us and protect us.
Early in the morning, may you examine our paths and count our steps so that we will not go astray and will not follow our passionate desires. May we keep our hands clean so that our hard work of the day will not be a waste of time and become meaningless—like chasing the wind.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for holding our hands so we can stand firm during the trembling of the earth, the storms in the night, the raging pandemic and the turmoil in our society. Please help us to be truthful, to live as a true Christians without wearing any mask. In this way, we will avoid hurting each other in the house of God. We will not lose our testimony and bring shame to your name.
Thank the loving Lord Jesus! You do not give up on us. You surround us with sacrificial love of the cross, allowing us to experience strength when we are fatigued, encouragement when we are weak, comfort when we are in sorrow, consolation when we are desolate and healing when we are broken-hearted. Dear Lord! You take our hands and lead us press on to reach the goal.
Glorious and just Holy Spirit please come and lead us by our hands so that we do not walk in darkness but live in the light. May you show us whom we should fear and forbid us to despise you willingly. Otherwise, you can no longer work in our hearts and we will fall into eternal spiritual darkness.
Holy Spirit, please always remind us to pursue spiritual abundance. Help us to commit to be a faithful and sensible servant, remembering that “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” Like the faithful and sensible servant who feeds his master’s servants at the proper time, may we stay alert while waiting for our Lord’s return and be a living testimony with all the blessings from the Lord.
We pray in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
