Ohana Prayer 283 – Luke 11

2 He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father,[a] hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.

3 Give us each day our daily bread.

4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.[c] And lead us not into temptation.

9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

23 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

24 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’

25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.

26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.”

33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.

34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness.

35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Praise the honorable and glorious Lord Jehovah, our God and Father in heaven. Thank you for giving us the relationship and identity of being your children. Not only do you give us grace, you also give us the tools to obtain grace and touch your mind through prayer.

We all honor your holy name. With morning worship and sincere prayer, we open our hearts and focus on your will in order to receive the shower of blessings which is being poured down from your warehouse in heaven. You will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. We earnestly pray for peace in the world, harmony among families, prosperity of the church and love in everyone. Please help us dispel the haze of the pandemic so we can see the radiance of the cross and the reappearance of the rainbow of grace in the world soon.

Thank you Lord Jesus. You used your blood to cleanse our hearts and rid us of any filth. Thank you for making each of us a new person. The old life is gone; and a new life has begun.

Lord Jesus, please forgive us. In this crooked and perverted age, we have not stood firm but allowed all sorts of evil and selfish desires to occupy our minds. We have failed to be a true follower of Christ and were despised by the world. Forgive us for crushing people with unbearable religious demands and we never lift a finger to ease the burden. Forgive us for not doing what is right, not loving mercy and not walking humbly with God; instead we have fallen short of your grace and brought shame to the name of the Lord by doing wrong.

Holy Spirit, please enlighten us with the truth. Please come and light the lamp of our body. May our eyes be bright and able to discern between good and evil so our body will not be filled with darkness. Lead us to place the lamp of life on the stand again, so that the light of Jesus Christ our Lord can be seen by all who enter the house.

Holy Spirit thank you for letting us hold all the keys. Please guide us to use these keys to open the door to families, love, work, serving, and kindness so everyone, including ourselves, can gain free access. We can then bear fruit and bring glory to the name of the Lord.

We pray in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
