Ohana Prayer 263 – Matthew 19

14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

18 “Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony,

19 honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”

20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Praise to our wondrous LORD Jehovah! You are our Father God: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. You have given us grace, promise and peace and we lack nothing from You. So, we can live out a life of integrity, honesty, and no hypocrisy.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, You have always extended Your hand of mercy! Healing those who are sick, blessing the children, even became the bridge to the eternal life. For our sake, Your hands are now left with everlasting nail prints. O Lord, touch our hearts, cleanse us! As far as the east is from the west, we plead of how far is the virus of this pandemic is from us and You will shield us from afar. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is Your love for those who fear You!

Come, Holy Spirit! Come and shake up our lives! Take and hang us upside-down to empty  and shake out our piously self-righteousness sins, to be aware of our rootless spiritual life that have not bear any fruit, liken clouds that does not given rain to nourish the land! If it was not for Your mercy, we would have been uprooted, thrown out, and burned. Nonetheless, You intercedes for us through wordless groans and always willing to give opportunity to revive. So, we can live out the righteous lives with our bodies dead to sin bearing out of witness to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. A new person in Christ.

We respectfully offer our prayers in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
