Ohana Prayer 259 – Matthew 15

7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:

8 “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’”

10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand.

11 What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”

17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?

18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.

19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

20 These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

Praise the Lord who spoke of revelation and mystery, our Heavenly Father! All things were created by You and for You! Yet when we were awakened this morning, we worship You understanding You are the God of peace, we give thanks!

For giving Your Word so we can understand of the mystery of old, experience the sweetness of the Word derived from them, even able to provide the light of our paths and judgment standards, we offer up our eternal praise and thanks! Daily, we shall place our hearts under Your feet and let the cleansing effect flows through our hearts, to also live in the miraculous experiences of Your work, and be able to offer up our thanks and glory to You.

Dear Jesus, Your arrival brought unspeakable blessings to the nations! For we are only worthy foraging the scrapes fell from the Master’s table, but for the salvation given, the wild grapes now grafted onto the true vine receiving of the new life and living!

We plead for the blood to daily cleansing, remembering of Your forgiving grace of our sins. Let’s us put down our self-righteousness and hypocrisy. Less that we always only checking out of the plank of others, pointing out of the other’s transgressions and forgetting of we are in the same predicaments. If it’s not for Your mercy and provisions, our bodies would be stuck down by the force of the pandemic living without faith, hope, and love. Pray for the front-line medical personnel of Your protection and strength as well as those who had been attacked by the virus. Pray that You will continue to heal those who are ill and walk through the valley with them and welcoming the days of blessings to come.

Holy Spirit, we pray for the power to discern of all spirits and not let the evil ones to deceive of our hearts. Focus on praying as two or three gathered to build up the alter of prayers. Watching for the holy fire and revival of the church! Awaken church! Awaken church!

O Holy Spirit, we thank you for Your reminder of our armor:  the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God’s approval.  Wear shoes that are able to speed on as we preach the Good News of peace with God.  In every battle we will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.  And the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God. Walking humbling with our Lord with readiness for battle for the truth at anytime.

Pray in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
