Ohana Prayer 251 – Matthew 7

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

El Shaddai, You are majestic and powerful! We come together to praise and worship Your holy name. We seek of Your face and we behold Your countenance! We seek and You will allow us to find, knock and the door will be open and You will not despise of our yearnings from the depth of our hearts. You give Your children the upmost blessings and answers to our needs. Facing of the new variant virus, we will still watch and pray, being vigilant. Forgive us of our vision being blocked by the plank that we do not see clearly of Your guidance.

Lord, save us! We cloak of the sheep skin but a vicious wolf inside. We are thorns and briar bush yet hung full of grapes and figs, Your fruit of grace. We now affirm that we no longer will be a Christian only in appearance, no longer being hypercritical followers. We were once wild grapes yet graphed to the true vine. We give thanks for the new life! Lord, you will cut off every branch in You that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit You prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

O Lord, forgive us! Forgive of our sin that we neglected of Your grace of the new life, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, even preach in Your name, cast out demons, and many miraculous things performed. We have gone astray; our hearts are still harboring selfishness, bitterness, resentment, pride, and only sees the fault of the other but never of our own. Brought shame to Your name.

Holy Spirit, come and shine Your light into our hearts, lead us to travel on the path of righteousness, through the narrow door, and not of evil doings, fully submitted to take up and bear the cross, firmly focused to do the Father’s will to take the good news of the eternal life to share to the people. Pray for the daily feeding of the holy words, build our lives upon the solid Rock that can withstand the gossip, fear not the attack of the pandemic, unmovable in the face of the decaying society around us. But, plant us in the temple of our LORD, that we bear much fruit even when we are of age and filled with the nourishment so we continue to grow and be a pilar. So that all the glory be back to our LORD.

Pray this in the holy name of Jesus. Amen.
