Ohana Prayer 244 – Mark 16
2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb
6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”
12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country.
14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Praise to our Heavenly Father, King. I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. You are a Father who is full of mercy, our feet shall not be moved under Your wings. Father, forgive us of our negatives that’s like the fat conceals our inner beings hindering our spiritual sensitivity and power. In the mornings when our feet step onto the icy cold floor, the coldness sends shiver and blasting to our hearts saying: Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Why we won’t give thanks to the warmth of our bedding first thing? Thank you for Your reminding! Thank You for the provision of our daily needs and protection! Great is Your faithfulness and Your guidance of our daily lives living.
Dear Jesus, You are the author and completer of our faith for sin came into this world by one man that You took the curse upon Yourself to die on the cross. You have conquered death by Your resurrection! For by Your death, all mankind can have this great salvation and Your love in action forever seared in our hearts! You live in our hearts so we are to discard of the old me. Living out a joyous, thankful, and ceaseless praying life powered by Your unending love. At this moment, we are at a loss of explanation of this pandemic and it is still coming in weaves causing us to start casting doubts of our living. Remind us to heed of Your teaching: enter into the inner house with the door closed, stretch out our hands to reach and hold onto our Father’s hands. He will reward us and compensate of our efforts. We beseech of the blood of Christ to wipe clean of our sins. Grant us Your mercy and show pity on this generation. Let the virus pass quickly but not our will but Yours.
Holy Spirit who knows of our hearts, come and wipe our teary eyes, rekindle of our lampstand, and the ambers of our heart. O Holy Spirit, we are in dire need of Your anointing of grace to have our worries lifted for it is useless to worry. Lotion us with spiritual words for our dried-up souls so we can continue with our callings to preach and teach of the Gospel. Daily be the living witness of Your power, Christ’s love, and our Heavenly Father’s care. Let us work together to bring the heavenly peace to this world from Jerusalem to the far corners of the world for the return of the Lord is at hand.
We lift up this prayer with earnest and in the name of Jesus. Amen.
