Ohana Prayer 425 – 2 Timothy 3

All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the [a]man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work. II Tim 3:16,17 (AMP)

El Elyon, praise to be Your name! Our heavenly Father! You are pure and perfect! Not a spackle of sin can exist in Your presence! Early in the morning, we examine our hearts with fear and reverence. O, forgive our sins! We all will perish if You judge us! If it is not for Your mercy, we will not see another day. You have delivered us from the miry clay of sin and with Your merciful hands, remove of our roots of evilness! Sanctify us, O LORD! Purge our sins less our hearts cannot behold You! Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men’s advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. Take our hand, walk with You in justice, deliver compassion, heart of humility, and live day to day of blessing others.

Thank you and praise the Lord Jesus! You not only poured the endless love of our heavenly Father into the world, but You also left beautiful footsteps so that we can live out humility, mourn, gentleness and compassion in Christ. Like a mirror reflection of Christ’s meekness and humility, in hunger and thirst for righteousness, purity of heart, and peace, testify that we are Your true disciples. In the face of being persecuted, insulted, or slandered for righteousness, we still have a joyful heart, and show a positive attitude as a testimony of salt and light. In these dangerous days of the last days, we resolved that we will be brave enough to face hardships, because we live in Christ Jesus. And live our lives with godly attitudes and actions to live out the glory of Christ, Lord Jesus, forgave us for our lack of faith and willingness in our hearts, but our flesh is weak, and is often dragged down by the deadly old self. Forgive us for not taking time indulging in self-consideration, our heart is not holy, we forget that greed is the root of all evil, the tongue is the fire of all evil, the human heart can be more deceitful than all things. Forgive us for failing to keep our hearts well, only having the appearance of godliness, but betraying the true meaning of godliness, denying the importance of godliness to life. Pray for the Lord Jesus to take our hearts back from the pit of arbitrariness, love for pleasure and not love for God.

Protector of the Truth, Holy Spirit! We implore You to dwell in our hearts, to enlighten us of the Word, the light of life itself. Please teach us the truth that we should know. When we have not completely taken the wrong path, please severely rebuke us! Please open a path for us to return to righteousness, strengthen us back on the right track, and guide us on the path of righteousness. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. Holy Spirit of Revival, please help us not to be trapped by the fear of the epidemic, to bravely face more and more natural and man-made disasters. In the difficult days ahead, ask the Holy Spirit to help us build a good foundation of faith, live a good character, treat others with tolerance, love and patience in life, and often adjust our aspirations to match our faith and hope Move forward in the same direction with love. Encourage us to step into persecution and suffering willingly, walk with the suffering people, witness the presence of Christ, and accompany them out of the valley of the shadow of death.

Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

II Timothy 3

1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.  10-17 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
