Ohana Prayer 421 – 1 Timothy 5
If anyone fails to provide for his own, and especially for those of his own family, he has denied the faith [by disregarding its precepts] and is worse than an unbeliever [who fulfills his obligation in these matters]. I Tim 5:8 (AMP)
Praise to the fearsome Adonai, our heavenly Father! Glory and majesty are Your ornaments, and honor and majesty are Your clothing. Get up early in the morning and step out of the night. We are in awe to come to Your throne of grace and offer sincere worship. May all the glory and praise be ours Heavenly Father, from now to forever! Thank you, the merciful heavenly Father, for giving us the identity, the blessings, and the honor of being Your children, so that we can come to you without fear, in order to receive mercy. So that we will suffer all our past failures and sins to be forgiven, to receive mercy in the current epidemic and difficulties, to face the days ahead, firmly believe that we will receive grace and help at any time.
Thank you and praise the meek and humble Lord Jesus! Your yoke is easy, and Your burden is light. You set up the church. You are the head of the church. You have given us the ability to be members of each other, sympathetic, merciful. Loving brothers and sisters, with compassion and humility, serve each other, encourage and support each other. Let us carry the fragrance of life, permeating our home, and bring Jesus home to be the lord of our home, in Your endless love, full of endless joy! Let us in all kinds of patience, also shows the long-lasting gentleness and quietness. Our lamps are placed on the lampstand to illuminate the family. Lord Jesus, forgive us for failing to hold our tongues and forgive us for our frequent unclean speeches, love to gossip, to be nosy, and to say things without thinking whether they will edify each other or bring glory to You. Please cleanse our hearts, because we fail to keep our hearts well. That the effects of the Christian life cannot be realized, the family suffers, the church suffers, and even worst that Your name is humiliated.
Come, Holy Spirit! Come and fill our hearts! That we may live, having a pure heart, without losing hope and faith, be able to accomplish the great and mighty things guided by You. That we will reap the harvest in due course. Holy Spirit, remind us of what we should do, can do, must do, and what we are able do today! Help us to bear our burdens of today and not worry about tomorrow. Let us know that after doing our best, the Lord will do everything for us, far beyond what we needed and prayed for! Holy Spirit, grant us patience, to keep praying like fire from wood, to unite our churches, to block the epidemic wind as well as the wind of natural and man-made disasters, the unhealthy wind of politics, and suffering liken the pouring rain. We will continue to pray, knocking at the door of Father’s mercy. Pray that the Holy Spirit will ignite the light of truth in our hearts, so that we can stand up to serve each other, relieve those in need, and do all kinds of good deeds. Let the light of Christ be lifted high again, so that all people can be saved.
Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
I Timothy 5
1-5 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity. Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help.
8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.
20-21 But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning. I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.
24-25 The sins of some are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden forever.
