Ohana Prayer 419 – 1 Timothy 3

And great, we confess, is the mystery [the hidden truth] of godliness:

He (Jesus Christ) who was revealed in human flesh,

Was justified and vindicated in the Spirit,

Seen by angels,

Preached among the nations,

Believed on in the world,

Taken up in glory. I Tim 3:16 (AMP)

O our Eternal God, heavenly Father! While the thick morning mist blocked our view to look beyond, yet we can sense the beauty of the dwelling of the Highest. We long for beholding the holy temple. With all our might, all our heart, to bring glory and praise. Bellowing the songs of heaven, praise after praise, along with the angels and seraphim!  For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else;

we would rather stand as a doorkeeper at the threshold of the house of my God than to live at ease in the tents of wickedness.  Father! In the face of the universal epidemic, there have been many natural and man-made disasters, raging wars, and pervasive beacon smoke that prevents us from seeing you. But these cannot obliterate Your reining from heaven. Thank you for bringing the morning light of hope, hard days and painful trials, which seem to be a break in a smooth and happy life, but are often the entrance to new opportunities, and a channel to introduce greater blessings. Because You promised us to pass through the valley of tears that You will turn this valley into a spring source, and with the blessing of autumn rain, it will bless the whole valley.

Praise to our Lord Jesus! You are mighty and powerful! Having changed water into wine, we firmly trust and believe that You can do great and marvelous wonders for us! You have promised that: “We, Your children, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.” then, You must open your eyes and listen to the prayers we offer here. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Jesus, Lord of All, blessed are those who trust in You. Lord, forgive us for only admiring good works, loving to sit in a high position and being respected and loved by others, but unwilling to build ourselves up on the most holy truth, praying timely when the Holy Spirit moves us. Forgive us for failing to live a blameless life with care and manage our own home. Forgive us for failing to keep a clean conscience, stick to the truth, or tighten our tongues, and only speak to edify people, to the point that we are ashamed, and the body of Christ trampled.

O Holy Spirit! Purge us with the holy flame! So that the reappearing God’s beautiful image and light! Help us to bear spiritual fruit that is commensurate with our repentant heart, bringing our character and life closer to the temperament of the Father, and being able to live out temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable to have willingness to receive people from afar, and good at sharing the Lord’s way with others, and even entrust the Lord’s way to those who are loyal and able to teach others. Forbid our footsteps so that they do not fall into trouble, contention, slander, and greed for money. Holy Spirit beseech You to open our eyes and live our lives willingly For Christ. We can do all things with Jesus, give us confidence and ability. We can ask God for great things, do great things for God, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, we press on toward the goal to win the heavenly prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. When we look to the peak of life, give us the courage and ability to climb upwards, and when we bow to see the valley of body and soul or the boundless Red Sea, Holy Spirit, increase our patience and perseverance! Go on with faith, knowing that it will become a place to introduce living water in the future, and experience You to open the way of life for us. May all the saints and churches join hands in prayer and wait for the rain of Your revival to come.

Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I Timothy 3

1-9 Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap. In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience.

11 In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.

16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:

He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
