Ohana Prayer 418 – 1 Timothy 2

Who wishes all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge and recognition of the [divine] truth. For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, I Tim 2:4,5

Praise Adonai whose glory shades the heavens, our heavenly Father! May the whole earth be filled with the voice that praises your wonderful deeds and may all the people of the world have a fearful heart, knowing that if You say it is there, it will stand. You have made the plotting of the nations be wiped out, and the thoughts of the people have no effect. Only You are established forever, and the thoughts in Your Word will always exist for generations. All these are based on your love. You are the source of love. You are love. Thank you for hearing our humble prayers when we get up early in the morning on the highest heaven. We plead for the nations in the east, pray for the nations in the west, intercede for the nations in the south, and thank the nations in the north. May the gospel spread to the end of the earth as soon as possible, because You want all people to be saved, understand the truth, and don’t want to see anyone perish. Because You are good, Your love lasts forever. Your faithfulness extends to all generations.

Father! We respect the heads of each country and pray for them. We pray for them sincerely. We ask you to give them wisdom, ability and health, so that they can govern the country according to your kindness, treat the people kindly, bring prosperity to the society, and bring peace to the world. Every family is blessed. Because you promised us to pray faithfully, so that we can live godly, righteously, and peacefully, and be acceptable to You.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to this world to be the mediator between God and man and sacrificed Your life as an atonement for all people. You are perfect, Jehovah Tsidkenu! You personally acted on behalf of Heavenly Father to deliver salvation and mercy. You are the perfect man, the sinless lamb, who bears the sin debts of the world for us. You can fully understand our weaknesses with compassion. You are the only mediator between us and the Father. You are the way, the truth, and the life. Without you, no one can go to the Father. Lord Jesus, cleanse our body, mind, and soul with precious blood. We are going in and out every day in an environment of anger, doubt, insisting on our own opinions, and inciting disputes. Forgive us for being too self-confident and arrogant, thinking that we can wield the sword of truth freely and slay demons. Forgive us for putting on full spiritual armor, but walking around in the church, colliding with each other, and even hurting each other. So that church members are covered with blood from each other’s wounds and not the blood of Christ’s love that covers our weakness and ruptured wounds.

Holy Spirit, please dress us with the lotion of mercy anointing our wounded outer body and wounded inner soul, remove the grievances and bitterness in our hearts, so we can lift a holy heart and pray everywhere! Rely on your power of the Holy Spirit to heal each other with comfort, understanding and encouragement. Holy Spirit, please help us to lay down the decorations of the world, get rid of the old self and the evil desires of the old self, put on simple and white robe of righteousness, rebuild a godly life, to be self-govern, quietly learn the way, and reorganize the life of obedience to You. Pray for the Holy Spirit to increase our faith and love, so that everyone will become a saint who is assigned to work, stepping out of the church wall, walking into the crowd, leading people out of the chains of the epidemic, and erecting mid-stream for places with natural disasters and man-made disasters. The mainstay is to lend a helping hand to the needy people, to build shelters for the disadvantaged communities, and to deliver hot meals to the hungry. Give us wisdom to take Jesus home, build a testimony of a warm family, bring unbelievers to Jesus, and become the beloved children of God with us and disciples with life testimony.

Pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I Timothy 2

1-11 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. And for this purpose, I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles. Therefore, I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. A woman should learn in quietness and full submission.
