Ohana Prayer 401 – Philippians 1

5  because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,

6  being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

8  God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

9  And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,

10  so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

11  filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

12  Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.

14  And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

18  But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

20  I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

21  For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

25  Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,

27  Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel

Praise the Lord, our Father in Heaven, who grants grace and peace. With gladness and gratitude, we come before you in the morning when everything is renewed and afresh, to offer ourthanks for giving us the citizenship in heaven and the opportunity to serve you. Let us share our testimony of Your abundant provision and grace today and bring honor to Your name.

We praise Your unchanging faithfulness. Thank you that we will be set free from the bondage to decay into the glorious freedom of God’s children. We will not be separated from Your love because of trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and poverty, or danger and death. You have given us eternal life and this life is in Your beloved son, Jesus Christ and He is the open door to salvation.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that we were redeemed with the price of Your life. Everything we own, body, mind, and soul along with our time are Yours. Thank you that you wrap us, fill us, and saturate our thoughts with Your love so that it is no long we live but You, Christ live in us. You are the true Master and Lord of our hearts.

Christ Jesus, we praise Your Holy Name for we feel Your presence whenever we sing praises to You. You revealed Your greatness in our trails and difficult times, during the pandemic and in bondage to sin. These trials are tests of our faith as fire tests and purifies gold, though our faith is far more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire. We have confident hope that we will conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, and experience the indescribable glorious joy.

Holy Spirit, forgive us, we made ourselves attractive outwardly to cover up schemes, curses, and bitterness that filled our hearts inwardly. Not only did our lamps not being placed on the lampstand but also no wicks or oil were available to light these lamps. These useless lamps were discarded on the roadside, trampled on and broken into pieces.

Loving Holy Spirit, manifest Yourself through our minds, stir our souls, and led us think the same way that Christ Jesus thought. Give us the ability to discern right from wrong, to chose what is best so that we may live pure and blameless lives. Let us have more confidence in the Lord, and boldly speak God’s message without fear, standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the Gospel, to bear the fruit of righteousness, and give glory to God.

We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
