Ohana Prayer 400 – Ephesians 6

5  Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.

6  Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.

7  Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,

8  because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

10  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

11  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

14  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

15  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

16  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Praise the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, our Father in Heaven. Thank you that You awaken our souls with Your glory. We lift up our eyes to the hills, they are the place we know the presence of God when we need help. You are our forever reliance, our protector; You watch over us and You will not slumber or sleep. We need not be afraid of the pandemic or disasters because You watch over our going out and coming in both now and forevermore.

Thank you for making a way for us to receive the living water. We come to You with respect and sincerity of heart, and a spirit that desires for righteousness, seeking Your word as our spiritual nourishment. With Your blessings, we will have confidence and strength to walk the path that is ahead and to finish the task that is given to us.

Christ Jesus, thank you that You are walking with us. We fearing the Lord, don’t work only while being watched, as pleasers of men, but as slave of Christ we will serve people around us wholeheartedly. We want to give testimony that You are our friend whom we can rely on for power and strength and that we can be strong in You.

When You are in the boat of our lives, turbulence becomes a cradle, we are no longer frightened by the storm. Forgive us that our faith is weak; when we caught a glimpse of You coming forward steadily in the wind and waves, we still complained about the drenching rain from above, and feared the water rushing rapidly under our feet. We fretted over evil gossips. We failed to see Your power and Your presence.

Holy Spirit, we are very sorry that You have to work so hard on our behalf. You prepare for us the full armor of God and make sure we put on the whole set. You remind us to be on guard because we are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world. We must stand firm and not be distracted by the sounds of war and faithfully complete the journey to heaven.

Holy Spirit, we are relying on You to lead us in prayer. We pray for patients with coronavirus, for medical stuff who are on the job, for frontline workers, for the reconstruction of the community after the disaster, for the revival of churches after the pandemic, for brothers and sisters to reorganize their family life, for us to refocus our personal life, and for the vision of advancing the gospel as our first priority. Thank You, Lord. May you bless us abundantly, more than all we ask or imagine.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
