Ohana Prayer 397 – Ephesians 3
6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.
8 Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,
11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Our Father in Heaven, we praise You for Your unfathomable love. With reverence we kneel before You to offer our thanks for letting us enter into Your glorious sheepfold where all the power, majesty, holiness, mercy and wisdom belong to You.
Father, thank you that Your love for us is incomparable. You open the good treasury, the heavens, and pour out Your blessings upon us each morning. Though we are insignificant You clothe each one of us with Your kindness, tenderness, and goodness so we can stride across paths like the Red Sea, the tense pandemic, various disasters, the valley of suffering, and experience the resilience from overcoming these hardships and setbacks. We can once again live an active life filled with faith, hope, and love, thereby giving testimony that we are the beloved children of God whose presence is with us until the end of times.
Lord Jesus, our redeemer, thank you that through You God’s plan for the world is revealed. You showed us God’s unconditional love for mankind, an everlasting love that cannot be measured by breadth and length and height and depth, and the love that continues through all generations. It will reach all the nations, and it is higher than the heavens and deeper than human sufferings and sins. You reached into the abyss of sin with your nail- scarred hand and pulled up our feeble bodies, hearts, and spirits. Because You live forever, You will never stop saving those who come to God through You and interceding for us in heavens.
Lord Jesus, the Sovereign King who are appointed by God to judge the living and the dead. We kneel down and plead for Your forgiveness. Even though we have been enlightened by You, have tasted the grace of God, are partakers of the Holy Spirit, have tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord, and are aware of the coming of the future king, we still turn away from the doctrine of Your teaching. You poured down showers of blessings on us but we yield crops of poisonous thorns and let the bitterness of thistles spread, making the Father’s house desolate, and the gospel a laughingstock for non-believers. We should not be given a chance to repent and should be discarded and burned. We messed up big time! But You are merciful and forgiving. You still let us serve as steward of the gospel.
All powerful Holy Spirit, let the spiritual wind blow through our hearts and make changes because the heart is most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Awaken our minds so that we will know God’s judgment for not preaching the gospel. Let us be transformed and become a useful vessel to do God’s work with Your grace as our resource.
Let churches be revived and stand as a beacon for the world to see. May we be encouraged to become members of the Father’s family in Christ. Let us express the love that comes from God by loving one another, bringing dignity to those who are weak, and restoring the lost. We are all one body in Christ, let us be united in Him, the head of the church, and do our parts to advance the spread of the gospel with the gifts He grants to us, thereby leading many to Christ, and turning the barren land into a fertile field that grows lush forests. To our God and Father be glory and majesty forever.
