Ohana Prayer 389 – Galatians 1
1 Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—
2 and all the brothers and sisters [a] with me, To the churches in Galatia:
3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
15 But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased
16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
Praise the Lord, the God of Amen, our Heavenly Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. May Your name be exalted among all nations and praised joyfully by all people. We praise You for Your love endures forever and Your faithfulness continues through all generations. You are the source of love and You are love.
Thank you, Father, Although we belong to You, You never treated us as Your slaves. You rescued us from the pit of sin, unlocked the chains that bind us, set us free, gave us eternal life, and called us Your children. Thank you for all the great things you have done for us. Thank you for the plans You have for us, plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope.
Thank you Jesus that You gave Yourself for our sins in order to rescue us from this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father. You not only save us from eternal death but also deliver us from evil. Sin no longer has a grip on us. Please Keep us out of situations where we can fall right back into temptation but give us the power to live a godly life.
Lord Jesus, forgive us for we rely on our own finite minds and self- efficacy where we highlight your grace with secular color, twist our beliefs, and decorate the cross, the symbol of faith with cosmetics to attract people. Our faith has derailed from the track because we mix human tradition with salvation which eventually leads to apostasy. People in the church lose their love and start to tear each other up, spy on each other, slander each other, blame each other, and even impose one’s own yoke upon others. The nations’ temple of prayer turns into the den of thieves and the place of worship has become a personal battlefield. We cause the bankruptcy of faith which is more terrible than the corruption of morals.
Thank you that the Spirit of Truth come and gather us, directing us back to His rest where we will be at peace. You enable us to trust and obey God, rebuild our faith, discern between the will of god and the will of human, faith and deeds, law and grace, spirituality and flesh, mission and life, the cross and the world so that we can walk in the spirit.
Holy Spirit, please come and establish us, give us hope, fill us with love, and lead us through this long and perilous task of fighting against the pandemic. Provide a refuge for us as we are facing more and more man-made and natural disasters. Reignite our fire of faith, hope, and love that we may win people for the Lord, spend more time to spread the Gospel, and be alert and wait for Jesus’ return.
We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
