Ohana Prayer 273 – Luke 1

30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.

31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.

38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

46 And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord

47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

48 for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will

call me blessed,

49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is his name.

50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.

51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their

inmost thoughts.

52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.

53 He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.

54 He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful

55 to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”

Our Father God in heaven, you are the creator of all things, you are the living Lord. Thank you for your wonderful deeds. Your love and care for us are revealed through history. From your promise to its fulfillment, it is a wonderful gift for us by your grace.

Thank you and praise my lord, my God, for giving us the blessings of grace. You have given us the Messiah, our Savior, to show us the way to get close to you, worship you, serve you, return to you and receive from you eternal life.

Thank you Christ Jesus, the almighty Lord. You let the rising sun come to us from heaven and bring us a new beginning every morning. We can experience your extraordinary and special blessings in our ordinary lives. Guided by your wisdom in the light, we can paint a beautiful picture with our lives. We have no fear when moving forward in the dark, because you are holding onto us tightly with your guiding hands. Even when we are faced with suffering under the pandemic, your compassionate and loving hands remain steadfast. You are our total support in our sorrows. Under Your mighty arms, we will live in peace.

Thank you, Holy Spirit of truth, for witnessing to us that no word from God will ever fail. Through the Gospel of Luke, the life of the Son of Man is deeply planted in our lives so that we can have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.

Holy Spirit, nurture us in the spirit and power of Elijah so we can be a living testimony, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready our next generation a people prepared for the Lord. Then the gospel can soon be spread throughout all nations.

Incomplete prayer is asked in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
