Ohana Prayer 271 – Matthew 27

3 When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders.

4 “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”

11 Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”

19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.”

23 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”

24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”

25 All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”

33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”).

45 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land.

46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).

50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split

54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.

Praise the creator of all things, the Lord of all lights, our God and Father in heaven, every good and perfect gift is from God. This kind of gift comes down from the Father who created the heavenly lights. These lights create shadows that move. But the Father does not change like these shadows. You let us relive the scene of your beloved son being humiliated and victimized in the four gospels, and let us deeply understand your feelings and feelings at that time. The true God Your love for us is great and infinite, even if the heavens are paper and the ocean is ink, how can it be described in full by the hard work of generations of literati. May the world rejoice and remember the birth of the Savior with awe.

Thank and praise and glorious Lord Jesus, You gave birth to us with the truth! You suffered the things we should have suffered. You took on yourself the pain that should have been ours. But the servant was pierced because we had sinned. You were crushed because we had done what was evil. You were punished to make us whole again. Your wounds have healed us. You were our sin offering.

Thank you for showing the reality of tomorrow’s Father’s promise and shown the mystery of the prophesized date. You can buy a burial plot for the thirty dollars Judah received five hundred years before you were born. If you were born today, you would not even be able to buy a tiled ashes pot. In the face of today’s epidemic and all the difficulties we have encountered, we know that there must be your good intentions and timetable. We are waiting silently under your shade, looking up to you to untie us one by one and lead us through this the valley of the shadow of death.

Holy Spirit, come as we invite You to lead us to get rid of all filth and overflowing evil, accept with a gentle heart the holy way that You have planted in our hearts, and implement it today, and live with pure and undefiled godliness. Keep our tongue out of filthy speech, take care of the disadvantaged groups in adversity, and protect ourselves from the world.

Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
