Ohana Prayer 270 – Matthew 26

36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”

37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.

44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

45 Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners.

Praise and laud to our God Jehovah, Creator of the heavens! The greatest sacrifice you want is a broken spirit. God, you will gladly accept a heart that is broken because of sadness over sin. God, have mercy on us according to Your faithful love. Because Your love is so tender and kind, wipe out our lawless acts. Wash away all the evil things we’ve done. Make us pure from our sin. We know the lawless acts we’ve committed. We can’t forget our sin. You are the one we’ve really sinned against. We’ve done what is evil in Your sight. So you are right when you sentence me. You are fair when you judge me. Take away all our sins. Wipe away all the evil things we’ve done. God, create a pure heart in me. Give me a new spirit that is faithful to you. Thank you for Your endless grace and peace for guiding us to where we are today.

Accepting our Lord Jesus, if the jade bottle is not broken, the ointment will not come out, and it will not emit the fragrant fragrance; if the olives are not pressed, the oil will not spill; the grapes cannot be turned into wine unless they are put into the wine; If the wheat does not fall to the ground and die, it cannot bear many grains. Imitate your brokenness on the cross, free us from the old self, and let Christ live in us. Lord Jesus! Circumstance is Your best tool to practice our continuous growth; setbacks and difficulties tell us that we cannot rely on our own intelligence, so that we must recognize You in everything we do, and You will guide us on the way.

Holy Spirit, thanks you for your protection and guidance. Faced with the current natural and man-made disasters, the epidemic situation is getting worse every day. It is the great grace and power of Heavenly Father to live in this difficult time. Thank you for reminding us that the end times are coming sooner than before, reminding us to stand firm and guard ourselves so as not to fall into confusion.

Holy Spirit! You who are tired, give strength. The weak, you add strength. We are all weak grasses, and we are wiped out by the wind. If it is not for your strength, we cannot be strong and courageous; if it is not for your support, we often fall and cannot stand up. May we renew our strength in You, so that we can soar up like an eagle, fly over the dark clouds above our heads, and all the sadness in our hearts will be scattered.

Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
