Ohana Prayer 266 – Matthew 22

1 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying:

2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.

3 He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

4 “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

5 “But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business.

6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them.

7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come.

9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’

10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes.

12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Your loving kindness, Yahweh, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Praise to be Your name. Majestic Father, we get up in the morning and prepare our body, mind, and spirit, and come to You respectfully and worship You. May we remember today that we must act in awe and respect and shall love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength as we as love our neighbor as ourselves. Living a good testimony of honoring God and benefiting others.

Lord Jesus, You have send out the invites to notice us that the time is near, be prepared, and to worship of the Heavenly Father in truth and in spirit.

Dear Jesus, please forgive us of our wandered minds, despise of Your holy calling, despise the coordination and unity of your body, despise the urgent moment to rescue souls, lose ourselves in the world, and indulge in the gain of possessions, despise of Your spiritual gift. Forgotten is that: ‘Unless it is the Lord who builds the house, the builders’ work is pointless. Unless it is the Lord who protects the city, the guard on duty is pointless. It is pointless that you get up early and stay up late, eating the bread of hard labor because God gives sleep to those he loves.’

Holy Spirit, come to enlighten us, remove the viciousness, anger, anger and resentment of our souls, and forbid our mouths to speak nonsense and filthy words. Holy Spirit, helps us build the spiritual house with meekness, humility, honesty and love as bricks, allowing You to live in our hearts, guiding us to be righteous, compassionate, gentle in our tongues, humble and peaceful in life, walk with You often, and live the mission. The life you have to bear, tolerate each other in love, enjoy peace and rest in the soul, witness the presence of God, overcoming the fear the wind and rain, and watch the emergence of rainbows by faith.

Pray this in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen
