Ohana Prayer 243 – Mark 15

1 Very early in the morning, the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin, made their plans. So they bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate.

14 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.

26 The written notice of the charge against him read: the king of the Jews.

33 At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.

34 And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).

37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.

38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”

43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.

46 So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.

Our Creator, LORD Jehovah, our Heavenly Father. Although our eyes at times cannot see Your guiding light in this world of darkness but we know that it will never leave us. We observe of the dew in the mornings, reflecting of Your holy existence that none can deny. Show us, when we pray, of the unknown paths that we ought to travel to accomplish of Your calling to preach of the new Heaven to come. You will guide us when we walk by faith as firm as the sunrise and sunset. Let us live daily with radiance of love and light, awake of the foolish, and taste of Your word that is sweeter than honey. As we walk by faith, Your word is the lamp before our feet and we shall not walk in darkness.

Thank you Lord Jesus for You did not curse of those who oppressed You. For us, You have suffered pain, sorrow, and object of verbal abuse. Yet, You willingly took the curse of sin by walking on the path to be hung on a tree even unto death. For Your sacrifice, our fetter of sin was broken, release us from the curse of the Evil One, and opened the gateway to Heaven.

Can You not, Jesus, can answer above and beyond of what we pray for since You have given such a great salvation? We pray for the forgiveness of our iniquities and sins, even betrayal of You. Cleanse us, O Lord! Hear our combined prayers for this land rid of the virus and illness so the peace can return. Heal of the sick. Demonstrate to us of Your blessed peace and faithfulness in lives and build us up again.

Feed us, O Holy Spirit, use Your staff and rod to comfort us, forbid of tongues to speak ill , curse, and deceit, and recompense evil with evil. Guide us to walk away from evil things and relieve of unkind thoughts. Teach us to have the heart of Jesus of doing good, seek peace, and give blessings in the name of the Lord. No murmurs and curses. Mighty Holy Spirit, we pray in boldness of asking You to hold our hands tightly, increase of our courage, to raise up where we failed, use love to overcome and fill the valleys. That others may see of the love from our Heavenly Father ripples out and we can lead them to also to have and enjoy the grace and protection.

Pray in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
