Ohana Prayer 240 – Mark 11

1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples,

2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,

16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts.

17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’”

23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Praise to the LORD, Jehovah, our Heavenly Father. You are a God that is full of mercy, promised us that we can move mountains and our paths straighten out! For Your everlasting love shall never forsake us and You have granted the heavenly peace per Your covenant. Great is Your faithfulness! Today, let us come to the throne of mercy and grace, examining of our deeds. Forgive us if we failed to bridle of our tongues that damaged others. Forgive us if we neglected to speak up and stand up for those that are weak and fragile. Mode us into the vessel that glorifies You.

Lord Jesus. We offer up our praises, singing ‘Hosanna’ to Your name. You are the Messiah who is full of meekness and humility. You accepted, once, the public worship by the crowd when You entered into the city of Jerusalem with loud praises into the temple. You have, however, found that the temple changed. From those who are supposing well versed with Your words converted the temple into a place of den of thieves. Filling their pocketbook rather then fill the worshippers with the word, causing the act of worship only in form but not substance.

Lord, forgive our sinful world and show mercy to our failings. We pray for healing to the pandemic situation. Our hearts cannot by joyful in this time of darkness. Even the church’s Christmas lighting and decorations cannot decrease the feeling of despair. Pray that You will again send forth Your angels and heavenly hosts proclaiming: “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

O Holy Spirit! Come to light the lights of prayer from the believers, proclaiming of the Great News, and testifying to the Father’s eternal true light. Holy Spirit, please lead us so we can break free of the trampling of our faith by darkness, by the valleys, and by our lives’ storms. Rebuild of the spiritual temple, with Spiritual character builds walls, and with the truth as pillars and towers. So, this will be teaching for generations, enjoying everlasting peace. We shall stand firmly on righteousness, stay afar of oppressions, and with fears subsided. Then, we can withstand the attacks.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us to live a life of yielding spiritual fruits. Teach us, therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in us, which can save us. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive ourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. Sowing the seed of truth and in due time, fruits. Use us as channel of Your teachings and be a vessel fill with the living water to quench.

Pray in the blessed name of Jesus. Amen.
