Ohana Prayer 239 – Mark 9
1 And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
2 After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them.
3 His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,
40 for whoever is not against us is for us.
41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.
47 And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,
50 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”
Merciful eternal God, our Heavenly Father. Let us raise up to proclaim of Your wonderous work. Of this windless morning, we observed of the orange lines left behind by airplanes liking to ribbons wrapped around a gift to be opened: today.
While yet of our minds are still pure, not tainted by the worries of today. We pray that You let our lives’ compass pointing to the spiritual north pole, that we live out the correct path, fully focused, and stepping out each step with faith. Bringing hope to the ignored places. For all things are possible with You, calling us to pave the path with love and joy as bricks to bring forth blessings and peace to this world.
Lord Jesus, we praise You, may Your kingdom come! The earthly garment cannot hide Your brightness upon the Transfiguration mountain as then Your garment also shine out with brightness. Even today we hear of our Heavenly Father states: ‘This is My beloved Son, all of you shall obey Him!’
Lord Jesus, save us! Woe is unto us! We will be perished! We confess of our weakness, for our hearts, minds, eyes, hands and feet caused us to fail and commit sins. We cannot bear to part with those who have unclean lips and hearts filled with sinful thoughts. Forgive us! For our lamps failed to shine and bring warmth, acting even as those faithless, fetter with worries and ill temperament. Lord, rekindle of our ambers in our hearts, tease out the lamp wick to let it shine again so the light of Jesus can so shine before them since Your light never left us. It is only that our sins blocked out our eyes, and even our entire body so we cannot testify of Your merciful hands has never ever let go of us.
Holy Spirit, pierce through the dark curtain of sin, shine Your light into our hearts, minds, and spirits! You will not bear the thought that latter on in the new Heaven that at a corner of Christian who are deformed with no hands, no feet, and blinded, whimpering since their entire works gone through fire and burned, themselves barely saved.
Dear Holy Spirit, help us to bridle our tongues, help us to keep our hearts, also to live out the life of Christ. With the heart of Christ, there will be salt to bring out goodness and beauty living in harmony with each other. With light, bringing forth light and warmth. With living water, quenching their thirst, life to the destitute land that will yield harvest to fill their needs. We pray earnestly LORD for this land and all within, believing in due time peace will return.
Pray in the holy name of Jesus. Amen.
