Ohana Prayer 237 – Mark 7
1 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus
2 and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed.
6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “ ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
15 Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.”
21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder,
22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.
23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
37 People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
The only Living God! Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. You have given holiness and righteousness as the pillars of our tent of life.
How can briar bush root and grow without soil and the reed grows without water? When we forsake the attitude of humbleness and faithful, we would be like the briar bush and reed that dried up. Our spiritual lives no longer grow, out hope vanished, and may fall into the web of decide thinking that we are serving yet only in form but no longer walking with You. For Your commandments are truth and ordinances are righteous which shows the path of life and to abide in You. Less all of our efforts, patience, and endurance will be of naught like bubbles in the rain.
Thank you, Lord Jesus for Your completion of the law. For we all know the things of God which was reviewed already in our heart via Your prophecies and massagers. But they were ignored, overshadow by our pride and sin, that there were none good in us. Thank you for Your coming to lead us back to straight and godly path and reconcile our relationships with You and each other.
Please forgive our empty talks as we worship with only lip service and not from our hearts. Worship in form but not in substance, no depth from our hearts, with an acting of Christian but no inner strength. Bringing shame to Your name.
O Holy Spirit, shine Your light into our hearts to afford us the understanding the Heaven’s language. That, this will cause us to cast our lights to the World and bringing warmth to this cold and calas hearts. Steer the pandemic’s shadow and turn it into opportune time for us to shine, and bringing harmony back into the chaotic society. Open our hearts for those hunger for mercy, taking care of the needy. Let our lights so shine that the society will give praise and glory to our Heavenly Father for our good works.
Open our spiritual eyes so that we can study of how our Lord Jesus who guided, care, shown mercy, laying of hand to heal the sick, lame, and the blind. So, that others will experience the same: the blind can see, the shackled set free, the fever stopped, bitter hearts turned to praise and mercy, repentance, and darkness cast out. For we pray with a joy heart, and in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
