Ohana Prayer 236 – Mark 6
7 Calling the Twelve to him, he began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over impure spirits.
12 They went out and preached that people should repent. 13 They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.
34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.
41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all.
42 They all ate and were satisfied,
47 Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land.
48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them,
51 Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed,
52 for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.
56 And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.
O glorious King, our Heavenly Father. We give praise to Your glorious name for You are full of mercy that last for generations. May the heavens be joyous and the Earth blessed.
For the sea’s waves present Your strength, the fields yield up happiness, the forests and all that is within offer praised. For You are great! For You are the King who can judge the lands.
Today, we now come with the humblest attitude prostrating before You, seeking earnest of Your face, waiting upon Your guiding light and our daily bread, going into the world with Your strength and joy!
Lord Jesus, we give You thanks for You have given each one of purpose and mission to become the bodily part of the church, building upon each other for the expression of the Gospel. For not by our might, nor our intelligent, or our statue in society but You have chosen those who are lowly, weak, forsaken, and poor by the measurements in society to do Your work so that we cannot boast ourselves to bring shame to Your name.
Pray that we will not look lightly upon Your gifts in us so we can accomplish the work of the Good News, the love that You placed deep in our hearts and minds, and never cease prayer. Guide us to be ever faithful, work with all of our strengths and proclaiming the Word without errors.
Our loving Holy Spirit, merge us with the heart of Christ! Let us be the guide to point to path of eternity. We see the gap in the old sheepfold; thus, the sheep are underfed, unable to be live out the life of Christ. Grant us the strength in the face of this pandemic and the forever changing political climate to be able to be a standard for this world.
Increase our faith, hope, love for we have the charge to be the light to this world. Putting on the garment of Christ and lifting up His banner to proclaim victory over the evilness of this world. May all the glory be back to our Father!
Pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
