Ohana Prayer 232 – Mark 2
3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them.
4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
16 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
21 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse.
22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”
28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
Our Father who created all things by only speaking and so it was. You have given us a physical body comprise of many organs, cells, nerves, fluids, DNA, and others yet to be discover. We are amazed by this ordination of all these works together to keep us alive. Yet when sin entered into the world, we waste this body’s abilities and thinking that all is well. Our days are hence numbered as we grow old and weary. Let us redeem of our days by planning of how to glorify Your name, living out the faith that lives within us. Giving praises and offerings to magnify the loving grace of our Lord Jesus outwardly. Learn of how to be content of whatever situation we find ourselves in, like at the eye of the storm.
In the name of Jesus, we are to cast out the evilness, lust, and sinful thoughts that Satan seeded in us. Grant us your strength and power to be renewed and forgive us when we fetter. Dear Lord Jesus, we acknowledge that we are all sinners and in need of your forgiveness, heal us of our sicknesses both physically and mentally. Let us bring all of our weakness, failures, sins, sorrows, and weariness to you. Your nail pieced hands remind us the pain and suffering that you have endured also will hold our hands to lead us through the valleys to the mountain peak to see you face to face.
Holy Spirit, wake us every morning so that we can experience of the freedom of forgiveness. Let us heed to your voice of counsel decerning if any sins are in us that needed to confess. Continually listens to your guidance so that we can live a sanctified live outward and a clean heart within. When we are weary, renewal us to soar like an eagle and to walk steadfastly.
In our blessed Jesus’ name, Amen.
